2 Diospyrobezoars Complicated with Peritonitis in Children

Abstract

|
Persimmon bezoars frequently are not diagnosed before operation. The authors experienced two cases of diospyrobezoars in children which were confirmed and recovered by the surgical procedures. Symptomatologically both of them complained of severe abdominal distension due to mechanical ileus (case 1) and pneumoperitoneum (case 2) on plain abdominal X-ray examinations, respectively.
